THE SKELETONHARVEST CLEAVER
This knife is the 3rd version of the Harvest cleaver. Designed to safely and effectively harvest veggies and fruit from the garden. The steel is Bestar German 1095 (the highest carbon content achievable in steel) made with a skeleton Integral design. The diamonds are both reference points for wrapping the handle and a decorative hat-tip to the Japanese tsuka of the katana. They can be wrapped or left plain. The finnish is baked on oil as well as a hand painted mustard (food safe) patina. The leather sheath is a pocket slip with a thumb push so you dont have to string it to a belt. These knives are blazing sharp and will be with you for life if you take care of them. The maintenance is simple; treat it just as you would treat a cast iron skillet; rinse, immediately dry and lace with food grafe mineral oil. Never store a carbon blade in leather long term, the slip is for pocket carrying only. The bead is hand made and charred in house. The blades are free-hand ground on American made grinders and each knife is individualy hardened in a American made computer controlled kiln in house. All knives are one of a kind. The knife in the picture is the one you will receive.
