Tactile Craftworks' St. Louis Map Flask pays tribute to the Gateway to the West. Etched with an 1876 map of the city, this flask is a handsome accessory for any occasion. Whether you carry it in your pack on a camping trip, or slide it into your suit pocket for a night on the town we know you’ll love the substantial feel and rich aroma of the quality leather.

The artists at Tactile hand cut, bevel, dye, seal and stitch each of the flasks from quality 5/6oz vegetable tanned leather.  Each flask measures 4" wide by 4 1/2" tall, and holds 6 oz.

The leather is cemented to the stainless steel flask for durability, and sealed with a water resistant sealer so that it can be carefully rinsed out.  We do not recommend submerging it in water.

As each item is hand-made with natural materials, there may be slight variations from the product that is pictured.

  • Tactile Craftworks is a small leather crafting company based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, founded in 2014 by Sarah Kirkham and Anna Warren. They strive to make pieces that are long-lasting, beautiful to look at, and satisfying to hold.  Much like how Nate feels making knives at NHB, they love how visceral working with leather is: it's all sharp knives, metal stamps and rawhide mallets. While that rough process is always apparent in the leather, they're intentional about achieving refined results, and are always playing with the perceptions of leather as a material, how it is substantial and durable, but also seen as fine and handsome.  They aim to create products that balance these qualities. Their craft is most inspired by history, their customers, other makers, and the outdoors, and they take pride in combining old world crafting techniques with modern technology to create their unique products.
