  • Oregon Corrections Enterprises, is a self-sustaining organization that provides work and training to Oregon's inmates.  Today, over 1300 inmates work for Oregon Corrections Enterprises.  About 96% of the prison population will be released back into their communities.  It is the OCE's goal to offer these individuals the chance to develop a work ethic and basic skills needed to improve their chances of getting a job and becoming a productive citizen once released.

In 1989, The State of Oregon was challenged to create jobs for inmates at the Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution. After extensive research, it was determined that a garment factory would provide ample jobs and training in a real-world manufacturing environment. A 47,000 square foot factory was constructed, and the Prison Blues© factory began operation.

Inmates seeking work in the Prison Blues facility pass through a detailed hiring process, then are trained by managers with private industry experience. Inmates demand the highest in quality from themselves and take pride in their work.

When you purchase Prison Blues, not only do you get a quality product that looks and fits great, you also help support a program that teaches inmates the valuable working skills they need to become contributing members of society.
